With the 2000ESK shredder, material is broken up by cutting and crushing, enabling it to rot more easily. The collecting box fulfils an important additional function in that it not only collects the shredded material but also protects the discharge opening from access. No-one can accidentally reach into the cutting mechanism from underneath while it is operating. If the box is removed, the unit switches off immediately.
